You need to follow below procedure for the same:

• Visit the official Jharkhand rasan card website and download the application form

• You can alternatively download the correct form from below references:

- Rural (Inclusion)
- Urban (Inclusion)
- Rural/Urban (Exclusion)

• You can get these forms from nearest Food and Supply Office. We will advise you to get the form from office itself as in any case you need to visit the office for form submission.

• Fill the application form completely and submit to the officials.

• Please attach all the required documents like family photograph, residence proof, affidavit stating that your name is not a part of any other ration card in the country etc (submit each and every certificate that you think is necessary for ration card).

This is it! You will now get acknowledgment number that will contain tracking number and expected date of card delivery to the same office. In case you want to check status of ration card then you can do that or you can directly visit the office on or after the given date in the acknowledgment slip.

How to change, add, delete name in Jharkhand Ration Card

To do so, simply submit the application form for modification along with the supported document (birth certificate or marriage certificate in case of name addition and surrender, death certificate for delete case). Once you submit the application form, you will get new ration card within 1-2 weeks only.

If you want to change name in Jharkhand Rashan Card then you are needed to submit an affidavit about your name change along with some supporting document about your name change.

You will be charged minimal card processing fee in range Rs. 5-50 for all sort of ration cards. You can even issue duplicate ration card if you have lost the original ration card or something has happened to it and now it is not readable.

UPDATE: For better governance and management, Jharkhand Government has enabled Aadhar Linking with Ration Cards. As per the reports, it was a successful program and many has linked their UIDAI Numbers with existing ration cards in state. Basic purpose of getting both the services linked was to eradicate reach of middlemen who somehow cheats poor illiterate users in terms of subsidy. Once the ration card number is linked with UIDAI number, one will be able to get subsidy benefits directly to the bank account (as no middleman was involved here so there is no point of cheating or anything like).

In a recent complain, it was found that Point of Sales (PoS) machines installed at Fair Price Shops (FPS) were unable to recognize user's fingerprints. It was reported in capital city Ranchi. As per the report, PoS were unable to recognize identities for more than half of the NFSA users. It raises a critical concern and is a big question on better use of future technologies like UIDAI system. As per the experts, there must be alternates for cases like this (it might be digital or non-digital alternate).

As per Government officials, they will continue to make technology better and link more and more number of Aadhaar cards with PDS cards. They will not make it a mandatory step unless and until 100% population in Jharkhand have registered and allocated Aadhar Cards.

Jharkhand Government PDS System Secc Cardholders

Government has made it easy find detail of PDS system secc cardholders, secc village wards, cardholder files and e ration card holder php in state. Please follow below procedure to find the same.

  • From the first drop down menu, choose your district and then as second option please choose your Block.
  • Now you have the option of either extracting the report as per village or as per the dealer. In case you are sure about dealer then go with that option or else select your village (or village of whomsoever is concerned)
  • Select Card Type (either PH or AAY). You can alternatively enter ration card number if you have. This step is basically to reduce and filter out the required results from a large extract.
  • Hit the "Submit" option.
