Manipur Government has done well in terms of providing ration card related information online and now you can easily manage most of the things online. With efforts from multiple team now you can apply online for ration card in Manipur, can track its status, can search any ration card in state and can even issue duplicate/temporary and modified ration cards. Ration Card Types in Manipur
Before everything you must know the type of ration card that you need to apply or already have. In Manipur, you can have 3 types of rasan card. These are BPL, AAY (Antyodaya) and APL. Family with annual income more than Rs. 24,200 need to apply for an APL ration card and family with income below than Rs. 24,200 need to get BPL cards. AAY cards are issued to BPL card holders who meet the required conditions. The conditions are:

• Physically/mentally challenged persons
• Senior citizens with no assured meaning of subsistence
• HIV infected card holders
• Landless farmers
• Widows etc

Apply online ration card in Manipur

You need to submit completely filled ration card form (available at DC/AC/DSO office) to the concerned office. You can submit the application form in the same office from where you have received it. You will need two attach two passport size photos and related proofs along with the application form. After you submit the completely filled form, you will be issued an acknowledgment slip that will carry details like expected date of release of ration card, acknowledgment number etc. You need to visit ration card office on the date that is mentioned in the acknowledgment slip.

How to make changes in Manipur Ration Card

In case you have changed your name and want to modify it in the ration card, then you need to submit new application form mentioning the type of modification i.e. name change along with supported document. Document can be a simple newspaper cutting where you have declared the name change. You will be issued a new ration card on the same day when you submit the rasan card form.

For address change you will need to submit documents that show your new address. It can be an electricity bill copy of new address. You have two options of verifying new address. Either two of your neighbors should give written statement about your address change or you can ask ration card inspector to visit and verify your new address. Once the address is verified you will be issued new card within 7 days.

For addition/deletion of names, you will have to submit documents like birth/death certificate, surrender card etc.

How to get Duplicate Ration Card in Manipur

For getting duplicate ration card you need to submit your application to the concerned office along with the reason of applying for duplicate ration card. Duplicate/temporary ration cards are issued in cases when existing ration car is lost or it is not at all in readable state.
